Could we be putting the "Fun" back into doing a Fundraiser?
Have you had enough of doing fundraiser's for your school that involves selling food, wrapping paper, or household items? Have you ever questioned if the student evens learns anything from this experience . . . other than maybe how to get their parents to do the work of selling it for them?
It's time to put the focus of the fundraiser back onto the student and what they can learn from the experience. A fundraiser that teaches the student positive qualities like: Respect, Kindness, Courage, Discipline and Success.A fundraiser that teaches a child or student how to be a better person.
This is exact what you can get when incorporating the 1 Week Challenge as part of a school fundraiser. It will probably be one of the easiest and most enjoyable fundraisers your school and students have ever done.
Here's a couple of examples of how this can work:
Idea # 1: Have the student challenge their family, friends, neighbors and others to do the 1 Week Challenge with the student during the same week the student does their Challenge. Have these "supporters" of the student purchase the "Higher Self" red wristband with the profit going directly back to the school as part of the schools fundraising efforts. When purchasing a larger quantity of the red wristbands as part of a school fundraiser, these can be purchased by the school organization at a discount. You decide how much you want to sell them for and the school organization keeps all the profits from these sales. Contact us first by email at support@1WeekChallenge.org with any questions or to inquire about a fundraising discount.
Idea # 2: Have the student make a commitment to doing the 1 Week Challenge, and then the student can contact family, friends, neighbors and others with a sign-up sheet to "sponsor" the student by giving a donation for successfully completing the Challenge . . . or maybe a dollar amount for each day of participation in the Challenge. You could also consider giving the option for the student to continue with the Challenge beyond the initial 7 days, but if the sponsor is giving a dollar amount for each day you may want to establish a limit such as a 30 day max for the fundraising time frame. The students should still be encouraged to purchase and wear the "Higher Self" red wristband to serve as daily reminder of their goal for that day, and as a way for others to recognize that they are participating in the Challenge.
You could also take the experience of doing the 1 Week Challenge to the next level and have students in their classroom, or as part of a school contest, write about their experience in doing the Challenge. It's a great way to reinforce the what they have learned from doing the Challenge.
